Century of Progress Tickets and Passes (Digitized Content)

The digitized content of the Century of Progress, Tickets and Passes, 1934 consists of one volume of tickets and passes from the 1933-1934 A Century of Progress International Exhibition (also known as the Chicago World's Fair). The tickets and passes have been pasted onto 36 pages.

The volume was compiled by Ernst Hertzberg & Sons, bookbinders in Chicago. They gifted this specially bound volume to the library in 1935.

The collection contains a volume of admission tickets and passes, many of which are stamped "SPECIMEN." The tickets vary, with some being for entry to the fair itself while other tickets provide admission to the various exhibits throughout the fair. Most of the items are dated 1934, the second year of the Century of Progress International Exposition.

The Illinois History and Lincoln Collections unit at the University of Illinois Library manages the physical items of the Century of Progress, Tickets and Passes, 1934 (MS 972). The collection was completely digitized in 2025. For more information, contact an archivist at ihlc@library.illinois.edu.
