Description
One letter from English genre painter Samuel Edmund Waller to Helen Allingham, assuring Helen all is right with the letter and that Waller will not prosecute her for it. Waller informs Helen all his time has been spent hanging pictures at the Institute, which he writes is a thankless task. He shares he and his partner Mary would be happy to host Helen whenever. In a postscript, Waller writes his partner Mary, whom he calls "a wretch," cannot be stirred from her novel and should write a message. The postscript also includes a note written in Mary's hand, informing Helen that she had given Waller a note which he refuses to send, and expresses how glad she would be to see Helen and receive a letter from her.
