Description
One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, from the SS Duke of Buckingham, writing as his voyage is underway and mentions that the ship made a stop in Gravesend. Henry writes it is cold, and the ship's deck was covered with ice. Henry informs Helen he will write to her at Suez, and will have to use Egyptian stamps and Queensland stamps from Lammermoor. In a postscript, Henry describes the location of his air-gun should Claude call, and request them.
