Description
One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, sharing he does not think he has much to write about. Henry writes the manager at Lammermoor, Mr. Ferguson, is leaving and Mr. Sherston will be taking up management. Henry mentions Mr. Christison will be coming to see Allingham's well, and Henry has not seen him in 6 weeks. Henry will be returning to Lammermoor. He writes he has plenty of money to purchase clothes, but is concerned about the cost of passage home, as he will cease earning money while staying at Lammermoor. Henry expresses his desire to see an Australian town such as Melbourne or Sydney before returning to England. Henry hopes Evey will be well by the time he gets home, and hopes Gerald is successful in getting his "wire made.
