One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham from Sydney, informing Helen he arrived in Brisbane on Christmas day. Henry writes he booked a room at the boarding house in Sydney for 2 guineas. Henry explains he has 19 pounds, 11 shillings, and 5 pennies, and does not anticipate spending much more. In a postscript, Henry writes he will try to see Lord Tennyson, should he be in Adelaide long enough.
