Description
One letter and corresponding envelope from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, informing Helen he has gotten a job in Ithaca, working for a man named Mr. Morse. Henry explains they are a small production creating chains. Henry provides a diagram of Renold's chains. He writes about his plans of moving from Bridgeport to Ithaca, and discusses his Christmas experiences. In a postscript, and a post-postscript, Henry writes he is looking forward to the letters he will receive, and hopes Evey is doing well. The corresponding envelope is addressed to Mrs. Allingham in Hampstead, and is addressed c/o Morse Chain Co. The envelope is postmarked December 26, 1903 in Ithaca, N.Y. and January 8, 1904.
