Description | One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, informing Helen that he has packed up his boxes, and will be going to Trumansburg on the Black Diamond Express. He recounts his journey with Archie on the Buckboard from Bridgeport to New York. Henry explains the exhaust valve broke at the end of the journey, but all the shops were closed New Year's Day. Henry writes he will be leaving the motor car in the care of the baggage master and take the ferry the rest of the way. |
