This item was the first to be treated using the Calcium Phytate conservation protocol for Iron Gall ink stabilization at the conservation lab. Most of the time spent in the item conservation treatment was dedicated to the research period and experimentation. Until now, the results have been totally satisfactory at the end of the project. The experience gained during this process will be used for the subsequent treatments on documents written in Iron Gall Ink.
