Description
One letter from English writer and editor of Fraser's Magazine, James Anthony Froude to English writer and poet Martin Farquhar Tupper, regarding Froude's writing on the life of Thomas Carlyle, following his death in 1882. Froude writes that he wanted to present Carlyle the way he knew him personally. In a note Tupper writes on the top of the first page, he explains that he wrote to Froude to thank him for his writing and this letter was his response. Tupper signs the note with his initials.
