Description
One letter and accompanying envelope from British painter Edward John Gregory to painter John Arthur Lomax, writing to inform Lomax that the date of his engagement to hang the New Zealand Exhibition was changed to the date of the golf match. Gregory hopes that Lomax will be able to find a replacement, and mentions that any golfer will do as a substitute. He apologizes for not writing sooner, but had hoped to attend both engagements. The corresponding envelope is addressed to J.A. Lomax in St. John's Wood. The envelope is postmarked June 8, 1906.
