One letter and accompanying envelope from William Thomson, Baron Kelvin, to mathematician Norman Macleod Ferrers, regarding the publication of Thomson's problems and solutions. He asks that if his work is not included in November's issue, that his work on the heating and cooling of buildings by air be published first. Thomson also writes that he will be in Ayrshire till the end of October, working on experiments. The corresponding envelope is postmarked September 24, and September 26, 1853.
