One copy of a letter from British art critic and non-artist member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Frederic George Stephens to the editor of The Athenaeum, Norman MacColl, transcribed by Helen Allingham. Stephens mentions an attack made on Allingham, that he republished his verses without reference to previous publications. Stephens corrects this falsity by outlining the publication history of Allingham's poems, and mentions his contributions to Fraser's Magazine. Stephens asks MacColl to publish the paragraph of literary gossip he sends, which Helen transcribes.
