Description
A letter to Sophronia McNitt from Ambrose W. Kelly, a Union sergeant in the 126th Illinois Infantry. Kelly wrote about being stationed at Jackson, Tennessee, where he thought he would finally receive his overdue pay before heading out to either Corinth or Memphis. He also mentioned hurting his arm by falling on his rifle, and talked about teasing John Berry about love letters.
