Description | A photograph made by Mathew B. Brady on February 9, 1864. Mr. Robert Todd Lincoln stated to the compiler that he considered this to be the best photograph of his father. It is the most widely known of all the portraits of Lincoln, as it appears on the five-dollar bill. |
