Accompanying booklet has title page: Rules and directions for playing the Historical pastime, or, New game of the history of England. Pages 9-24 consist of brief biographies of the English monarchs from William I to George IV.
The board consists of an engraved, illustrated, hand-colored sheet mounted in 12 sections on a single folded sheet of linen; 132 circular medallions represent events and persons in English history; medallion no. 133 is an oval portrait of King George IV. Played with a tetotum, numbered from 1 to 8, and 12 letters, not issued with the game.
