One letter from English physician William Benjamin Carpenter to William Allingham sharing about the attacks made on Carpenter's lecture series by a Mr. Wallace in the Quarterly Journal of Sciences edited by a William Crookes. Carpenter explains that he is preparing for a new edition of his lectures drawing from the works of D.D. Home, a Scottish medium. He also suggests writing an article for Fraser, if Allingham and Mr. Longman approve it. He then shares that he is happy to hear of Allingham's improved health and that him and his wife have enjoyed a holiday in Scotland.
