Description
One letter from British writer Peter William Clayden to William Allingham thanking Allingham for the note and epigram he had sent. Clayden mentions Lord Beaconsfield, and possible disturbances in the Conservative party in the House of Commons may cause dissolution in the coming year. He also explains that he is only temporarily acting as editor for the Daily News while Mr. Hill is gone. He concludes his letter by inviting Allingham and his wife to dine with him and his daughter some Saturday evening, he suspects Mrs. Allingham knows a Miss Sharpe whom Clayton intends to marry.
