| Description | One letter and corresponding envelope from Irish author Mary C. Ferguson to William Allingham stating that his previous letter had been forewarded to her in Scotland and tells him that they are having a wonderful time. Ferguson also addresses Allingham's lamenting about a want for "congenial compansionship" and a desire to "fall in love." Ferguson expresses her hopes and wishes of Allingham finding a "pleasing, sensible... and affectionate wife." She then tells Allingham more about her and Mr. Ferguson's time in Scotland. The corresponding envelope is addressed to William Allingham in Ballyshannon and is post-marked Oct. 6-7th 1851. |
