  • This map chronicles the major military operations conducted by British, French, American, and Belgian armies during the last few months of World War I. It describes individual campaigns in a digestible format, with dates, locations, and the details of engagements. It reveals not only the territories seized but also the number of prisoners and guns captured by the respective armies. The battles of Ypres, Arras, Bapaume, Epehy, Cambrai-St. Quentin, and Selle River, among others, are carefully detailed. This map also features information about German withdrawals due to British advances. One remarkable aspect of this document is the summarization of each battle's effects and its strategic outcomes. For example, the Battle of Amiens resulted in the freeing of the Paris-Amiens railway, and the Battle of Bapaume led to the enemy's retreat to the east bank of the river. The climax of this military documentation is the Battle of Maubeuge (1st Nov. - 11th Nov., 1918), which effectively severed the enemy's last significant internal communications and forced a rapid retreat, marking the final significant offensive by the Allies before the Armistice.
