  • Binding: Contemporary binding with some restorations; wooden boards, likely original, with no bevel, and leather spine; openwork brass cornerpieces and five raised bosses on front and rear boards; raised bosses on head and tail edges; remnants of upper and lower leather straps with brass catches and central leather strap; six silk ribbon markers; text sewn on six cords; 15 parchment tabs sewn on edges, some later replacements.
  • Imperfect: Lacking leaf 2; leaves trimmed affecting marginalia.
  • Foliation: I, III-CI, [4], [10], [6], [6].
  • 23.5 x 22 cm illuminated initial on leaf [102].Date of production from evidence present in text.
  • Decoration: Puzzle initials in red and blue; calligraphic initials in black and green, some with marian invocations
  • Script: Gothic rotunda.
  • Layout: Five 5-line staffs; staffs in red; musical notation in black ink; F and C clefs present throughout; 1 line of text in black; ruled in red.
  • The manuscript includes hymns and antiphons to be used during ordinary masses, feast masses, or in funeral rites and ceremonies. Includes: Missa Votiva S[ancti] Rosarij; Missa de Sanctissimo Nomine Jesu; Credo de Sexto tono para los Santos de la Ord[en]; three copies of the "Patrem omnipotentem factorem caeli et" with three different musical notations. The manuscript does not appear to be signed, but a large calligraphic initial on leaf [107] bears the name Ivan Rodriguez.
