One letter from British poet Coventry Patmore to William Allingham regarding a new small magazine established by many young, yet obscure artists. Patmore writes that these artists include Hunt, Millais, G. Rossetti, and more. The publication is called "The Germ," and Patmore writes that the first edition has appeared and is full of good poetry and criticism. He mentions that there is an etching done by Hunt. Patmore writes that he thinks Allingham would like to become a subscriber, and contributor to the magazine. Patmore shares that the poem titled "The Seasons" was submitted by him. Patmore also inquires about the progress of Allingham's poem "Music Master."
