Description
One letter from English writer and London Editor of the "Toronto (Canada) Globe" James Rice to William Allingham, whom Rice addresses as the "Editor of Fraser." Rice informs Allingham that he had read an article for May, on the topic of Canadian Trade and the prospects of Canada. Rice asks that as a favor Allingham allow him some space to write his news for Allingham's readers. Rice considers himself intimately accquainted with Canadian affairs, and does not ask for any payment. He signs his name alongside a note mentioning himself as the printed author of "Ready-money Mortiboy" and "The Golden Butterfly," among others.
