Scott, William Bell
Date

Description
One letter from Scottish painter, poet, and member of the Pre-Raphaelites, William Bell Scott to William Allingham thanking Allingham for the attention he paid to Scott's manuscript. He writes that he was working on a piece on Belgian Art for Routledge while writing the article for Allingham. Scott informs Allingham that he is returning the proof to him rather than the printer, because Scott made several changes. One of which involves Ruskin's late lectures, which he mentions were in the Athenaeum. Scott mentions that he enclosed his corrections, but leaves the decision of their inclusion up to Allingham. In a post-script, Scott mentions that Dr. A spoke of appointments proposed before the Slade professorships were established and mentions Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
