Description
One letter from Scottish painter, poet, and member of the Pre-Raphaelites, William Bell Scott to William Allingham informing Allingham that he received Allingham's book of poems. Scott writes that he would have acknowledged its receipt earlier if not for suffering from bilious derangement. Scott mentions his pleasure in refreshing his memory of Allingham's old poems and reading some of Allingham's new ones. Scott mentions a pamphlet on Ebenezer Jones, who was a poet, and inquires whether Allingham knows of his work "Studies of Sensation and Event." In a postscript, Scott mentions that there is a misprint in "Lover and The Bird," in the first verse.
