Stephens expresses his sadness at hearing of Allingham's illness, and recommends a Dr. Gull located in Finsbury Square in London. He also inquires whether he will see Allingham soon. Stephens provides updates on their shared acquaintances: sharing that Dante Gabriel Rossetti is married, Hunt's picture is "astonishing," Millais has had another baby, and Ruskin's new book is expected soon.
