Description
One letter from Irish lawyer and Celtic scholar Whitley Stokes to William Allingham regarding an inquiry from Allingham regarding a Mr. Knowles, whom Stokes writes is incapable of intentionally neglecting to reply to a letter. Stokes encourages Allingham to write to Knowle again and send a copy of the previous letter. Stokes also writes regarding Allingham's poem "Banshee," which he feels he can only offer technical remarks, and proposes several possible changes. Stokes asks that when Allingham finds a day suitable to visit London, that he give Stokes 24 hours notice. Stokes informs Allingham that he is often at the Inner Temple Library, or the Students' Room at the British Museum.
