Description
  • One letter from Icelandic composer Sveinbjörn Sveinbjörnsson to William Allingham thanking Allingham for allowing Sveinbjörnsson the permission to publish "The Faeries," alongside music. Sveinbjörnsson also informs Allingham that he will send printers proofs when they are available. He also writes that he will procure Allingham's book "Songs, Ballads, and Stories," so that he may copy correctly Allingham's lyrics. Sveinbjörnsson also feels he must inform Allingham that "The Faeries," had been previously set to music by W.M. Farren and preformed by Mr. Lambeths Choir. He mentions that Allingham's lyrics were printed in the programme with some verses ommitted.
