One postcard from British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace to William Allingham informing Allingham that Mr. Hepburn has asked Wallace to visit him tomorrow (Tuesday) at a quarter to 12 at Lower Vane Farm. Wallace writes that he will be inspecting the encroachments of the road there. He mentions that himself and Mrs. Wallace will be at Witley Station at 10:40 and proposed that Allingham and Mrs. Allingham may join them on walking to the farm. Wallace mentions that the matter of the road will be discussed at the Haslemere Committee tomorrow evening.
