Description
One letter from Irish surgeon and author William Robert Wilde to William Allingham mentioning his career in the past 25 years, but mentions that there are new technologies he is not as familiar with. Wilde offers to help Allingham and a Mr. Moore in any way he can. Wilde mentions that he will send a copy of Saunders containing a review of the German poet Korner, which he hopes Allingham will admire. In a post-script, Wilde mentions the Kensington Museum having some illlustrations of early Irish art. He mentions the restoration of the Shrine of Manchan which he had done, and asks Allingham's opinion of the quality of the preservation. There is a note written by Allingham on the letter, stating that Allingham replied to Wilde's letter to support Normon Moore in his endeavours in Belfast. The note from Allingham is signed "W.A."
