Description
  • One letter from British journalist and newspaper editor William Henry Wills to William Allingham writing on stationary for Charles Dicken's pulication "Office of Household Words," writing to inform Allingham that Mr. Dickens would glad for him to contribute to the magazine. Wills also mentions an English ship with passengers bound for California wrecked. Wills writes about the story of the Captain and the passangers. Willis mentions that they must have the contributions no later than the 10th of November. There is a note written by Allingham that states "To B. Woolner mentions his trip is in pursuit of making the type of art he has chosen. Woolner creates a metaphor using St. George and the dragon, to explain his deviation from the art style of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Woolner also mentions that Howitt is in the party as well. Woolner makes mention of his desire to see Allingham before his trip, and writes that he has no gossip to share.
