Woolner thanks Allingham for the photographic portrait, but shares that he has not yet gone to retrieve it. Woolner mentions seeing a piece written by Allingham in the Athenaeum. The accompanying envelope is addressed to Allingham at Ballyshannon, and is post-marked August 5-6, 1856.
