One letter and accompanying envelope from British sculptor and poet Thomas Woolner to William Allingham acknowledging the receipt of Allingham's letter but expressing his lack of time to gossip. Woolner thanks Allingham for the photographic portrait, but shares that he has not yet gone to retrieve it. Woolner mentions seeing a piece written by Allingham in the Athenaeum. The accompanying envelope is addressed to Allingham at Ballyshannon, and is post-marked August 5-6, 1856.
