Woolner also acknowledges his receipt of Allingham's previous letter. Woolner mentions shared acquaintances Robert Browning, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Michael Rossetti, Coventry Patmore, and Thomas Carlyle. The accompanying envelope is addressed to Allingham at Ballyshannon, and is post-marked September 12-15, 1856.
