Description
One letter from British sculptor and poet Thomas Woolner to William Allingham, informing Allingham that he was unable to respond to his letter sooner as he was in Cambridge modeling a bust of Professor Sedgwick. Woolner mentions visiting Tennyson at christmastime and shares his anger at Allingham copying a poem of his. Woolner informs Allingham that Hunt's painting is finally finished and is being displayed for private viewing. Woolner writes that he saw Mrs. Carlyle, who told him that Carlyle, whom Woolner calls the Mighty One, is interested in having Woolner do a bust of him. Woolner encourages Allingham to read the upcoming edition of "Fraser" in May, as there will be a contribution by Palgrave.
