One letter from British sculptor and poet Thomas Woolner to William Allingham informing Allingham that he was unable to find the time to write to Allingham from Rome. Woolner writes that it would take him 3 large volumes to write all his opinions on the art of Italy. Woolner mentions seeing Carlyle and Gladstone in Italy. He also mentions that Hunt was deeply saddened after the loss of his wife.
