One letter from British sculptor and poet Thomas Woolner to William Allingham apologizing for not writing to Allingham. Woolner writes that he cannot sympathize with Allingham's desire for busyness of London, and expresses his high opinion of country life. Woolner quotes Carlyle stating, "Silence and Secrecy are the elements in which great things fashion themselves together." Woolner writes that most of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood are at Sevenoaks painting. He also mentions William Michael Rossetti's review of Allingham's poems, and Browning. Woolner hopes that Allingham is working hard on his poetry.
