With no mention in the trade, no advertising, and few surviving copies, this title appears to have had almost no impact.
Historical Note
McKinley’s numbered series of instrumental pieces was released roughly in order, so No. 1785, “Young America March,” (© 1918 10 23) would probably have preceded this title (No. 1787).
Musical Note
A standard march in cut time (marked “Marcia” with half note at 104), with two strains and a trio in the subdominant, the skilled but wholly conventional music climaxes in the trio by quoting the opening of “America.”
