Description | Caption on the back reads: "STATE LIBRARY, RICHMOND, VA. Virginia State Library and Supreme Court of Appeals also houses the State Law Library and Attorney General. This beautiful new building, covering an entire block, was completed in 1940 at a cost of $1,500,000. The State Library, originating in early Colonial Days, was established in 1823 and contains about 300,000 books, 2,000,000 manuscripts, and 10,000 maps." Postcard was never mailed. |
