And first among her gallant sons to muster into line, was Logan’s fighting Ninth they’re always there When the band plays “Sounds from Erin” or our own “Red white and blue,” you know there’s something doing when you hear: Refrain: Faugh a Ballaugh, that means clear the way, here comes that Irish Band Every lad in his khaki clad there’s a class to Colonel Logan’s command. Every heart beats cheer that knows no fear, where good Old Glory now waves. In the service there’s no better for they’re drilled up to the letter, we have got to take our hats off to the Irish. Verse: When Lincoln called the army in the days of sixty one. Where the cannon’s roar was loudest there you found old Erin’s sons
