Description
One letter from English biologist and naturalist Richard Owen to William Allingham informing Allingham that he has returned the proof, marked 'prep'. Owen asks Allingham to make sure the quote from "In Memorium," is exact, and states that the first Shakespeare quote was taken from one of his Sonnets. Owen tells Allingham he does not require seeing the revisions, if all of the corrections he marked are made before being sent to the printer. In a post-script note, Owen mentions that a traveller in Madeira now here, objects to the statements in Allingham's act regarding the island in the last number.
