Palgrave asks that Allingham choose a time for a call that works with Allingham's schedule. Palgrave mentions Froude, who he had heard was not in England, and had not expected a reply from him. Palgrave writes that he had inferred from Allingham's previous letter that life in Lymington is treating him well.
