One letter from British poet Coventry Patmore to William Allingham expressing his discontent for the Daily News and its publisher, Frederick Knight Hunt, whom Patmore refers to as F.K.H. Patmore mentions that there will be a position open if Allingham would be interested in taking his place, but also refers to the position as a plague. Patmore states that should Allingham hear of any contributions associated with Patmore, could Allingham tell the paper he has nothing further to do with the concern.
