Description
One letter and accompanying envelope from British poet Coventry Patmore to William Allingham thanking him for his notes which he provided Patmore, and which will be considered by him. Patmore writes regarding the second edition of an undisclosed volume. Patmore describes the this second volume as "a hurriedly composed mass of materials." Patmore writes about an unnamed poem, discussing the proposed closing of the poem and possible continuations of the subject in another work. Patmore asks Allingham his opinion on the matter and asks for any suggestions. The envelope is addressed to Allingham at Ballyshannon, and the date February 24th is visible, but the other post-markings are intelligble.
