He also discusses a picture he has made based on "The Measure for the Wedding ring," and mentions a character in Allingham's book Maryanne. Halliday also says he lost the opportunity to read "Boye's drawing," which he offers to send along with his design, siting page 25 of Allingham's book. He finishes his letter sharing that the purchaser of Millais' sketch is very delighted. |
