He also mentions that Carlyle is in town but he has not seen him. Hannay also shares that the Brownings are in Italy, and Rosetti saw them there. He also means to go to Scotland in the autumn to see his cousin, Edmund Hannay, married. Hannay also writes several quotes in Greek. His post-script note also mentions English literature critic G.H. Lewes.
