Description
One letter from British artist Edward Frederick Brewtnall to Helen Allingham, thanking Helen for sending tickets to the play, "Colonel Cromwell." Brewtnall writes that he was unfortunately unable to attend as they are without a servant, and he was ill. Brewtnall informs Helen he gave them to his friend, Wollen, who is a war artist of the "Sphere." He mentions that he learned from the newspapers that things are improving at the Globe, and hopes that this news is true. The letter's paper contains a watermark for Hieratica (a vegetable Parchment) J.S & Co..
