One letter from English painter and engraver Georgiana Burne-Jones to Helen Allingham informing Helen that she had desired to go see Helen's pictures and was unable to due to a cold but endeavours to do so when she returns to London. Lady Burne-Jones asks Helen's forgiveness for not seeing her more but that she hears of Helen often from Kate Faulkner. Lady Burne-Jones mentions the closeness of the two women following the death of Helen's husband, William Allingham. She writes that her own husband, Edward Burne-Jones, has been very tired with work and is resting for a few days. The letter's paper contains a watermark for Parkins & Gotto's Government Note.
