Description
One letter from American abolitionist and writer Moncure Conway to Helen Allingham writing regarding his desire to sell the art he has in London. Conway writes that this includes the portrait Helen did of Carlyle. Conway asks Helen for a list of potential purchasers who may interested in the work. Conway mentions that he was sad to not have seen Helen last summer, and fears the two will never meet again as he will be returning to America. Conway also mentions that he keeps her husband, William Allingham, in his heart as a great friend and poet. The letter's paper contains a watermark for Jarente Mill, and is accompanied by an image of a sphinx.
