One letter from English writer William James Linton to William Allingham thanking him for kind note that he received yestereday and expresses his regret in forgetting the last stanza of one of Allingham's poems. He explains this mistake that Allingham's poem was so well known he did not think to look through the edition. He also writes that he hopes Allingham will forgive him and that the verse may be included in a later edition. He sees the current version as not incomplete.
