Description
One letter from British Unitarian minister Brooke Herford to Helen Allingham, addressing Helen as "My very dear niece." Herford writes that though it has been a long time since he wrote to her, he thinks lovingly of their times together. Herford mentions Helen going through a period of sadness and pain, and that Christmastime may exacerbate these feelings likely referring to the death of William Allingham. Herford writes that he has seen some of Helen's pictures in Boston. He also writes that his wife Hannah joins him in sending sympathy and love to Helen.
