Description
One letter from British artist Henry Stacy to William Allingham thanking him for the letter he had sent, and requesting to borrow a particular story if Allingham would lend it to him. He also writes to describe the current time as, "vile young year!" as well as mentioning an "Egyptian darkness which damns the spirits and destrpys one's energy." He also wishes for sunshine and warmth, and informs Allingham that the current government has much to answer for. There is also a note from Allingham written after the receival of the letter, which states that Allingham sent the requested book Feb. 19.
